The Fairview fire that was burning in Hemet has increased to more than 4,500 acres Tuesday. It also had an estimated 5 percent

firefighters were battling to contain the flame

That had already claimed two lives and damaged many houses

"The fire activity has been very unpredictable," Cal Fire spokesperson Rob Rosen said at the site early on Tuesday

The fire broke out in the brush at two a.m. Monday, and quickly spread to the outer reaches of Hemet in Riverside County

It's unclear as of now whether the victims were related or were from the same household

Cal Fire tweeted that as of Monday night, seven structures were destroyed

There are several burned homes visible in the barren mountain ranges to the south of Stetson Avenue
