Severe cold conditions continued in many parts of Punjab and Haryana on Sunday as well. During this, Faridkot remained the coldest place in the region. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 4.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning, three notches below normal. The Indian Meteorological Department has given this information. The maximum temperature in the national capital on Saturday was recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
At the same time, Amritsar in Punjab is in the grip of severe cold and the minimum temperature was recorded at 1.6 degree Celsius. Besides, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot, Bathinda and Gurdaspur recorded minimum temperatures of 4.9, 4.2, 8, one and 3.7 degrees Celsius respectively. The Union Territory of Chandigarh, the common capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a maximum of 6.7 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, in neighboring Haryana, Ambala recorded a minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees Celsius while Hisar recorded a minimum temperature of 4.3 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, minimum temperature of 4, 5.2, 4.7 and 1.8 degree Celsius was recorded in Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani and Sirsa respectively.
