Railway Protection Force’s Senior Security Commissioner Kamal Singh confirmed the incident. He said that on January 20 (Friday) near Telta railway station under Dalkola RPF post, passengers of coach number C-6 informed the escort party of the train at 4.51 pm regarding train number 22302 down Vande Bharat Express. The stone pelting incident took place at the coach while crossing Dalkola station between Dalkola-Telta station at around 4.51 pm. Senior Security Commissioner of RPF told that the incident site comes under Balrampur police station area of ​​Katihar district. The right side window glass of coach no C6 was damaged due to the incident. Information about the case, the RPF inspector has reached the spot and investigated the matter.

RPF talks with SP

After the incident of stone pelting on Vande Bharat, RPF’s Senior Security Commissioner Kamal Singh appealed to Katihar’s SP Jitendra Kumar over the phone to cooperate in joint operation against those who pelted stones. The senior official of RPF told that after the train reaches Howrah, strict action will be taken against the accused after getting the CCTV footage.

Incidents of stone pelting have come to the fore in many states of the country on Vande Bharat Express, the fastest running train of the country so far.
