Amid the ongoing controversy over Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film Pathan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised BJP leaders to avoid unnecessary comments on films. This advice of PM Modi was for the BJP leaders participating in the ‘Boycott Trend’. During the BJP National Executive meeting held in Delhi on January 16 and 17, PM Modi clearly gave this advice to the leaders. Many BJP leaders have openly announced the Boycott of Pathan film.

According to India Today’s report, PM Modi said, “Some people make statements on a film, then it runs on TV and media for the whole day. Such unnecessary statements should be avoided.” Let us tell you that Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan is going to release on January 25, 2023. Several BJP leaders including Ram Kadam and Narottam Mishra have given a call for ‘Boycott’ over the use of saffron colored clothes in the film.

Let us tell you that a few days ago UP CM Yogi Adityanath was on a visit to Mumbai. During this, in a meeting with Bollywood stars, Sunil Shetty had said that the entire industry does not work with drugs. He sought CM Adityanath’s help in stopping the Boycott Bollywood trend.

It may be noted that Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam questioned the filmmakers whether the film was a ploy to gain “cheap publicity” or whether there was a conspiracy behind their decision. The BJP leader had said that since there is a BJP government running on the ideals of Hindutva in the state of Maharashtra, the government will not allow any film or serial to be run that insults the sentiments of Hindutva.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra is fuming over the use of saffron clothes in the film. He had said that there were some objectionable scenes in the film, and threatened to ban Pathan in Madhya Pradesh if those scenes were not removed.
