The Meteorological Department has told on Thursday that there will be no outbreak of cold wave in North India for the next five days. However, due to Western Disturbance, the weather will be affected in the Western Himalayan region from January 20 to 26. At the same time, the effect of Western Disturbance will be visible in the plains of North West from 23-26 January. Due to this, it will rain in many states including Delhi-UP.
Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, in areas like North Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, the minimum temperature was recorded from two to five degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature in East Madhya Pradesh was two degrees Celsius. There was an outbreak of cold wave in Bihar, North Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, South Haryana. Apart from this, dense fog was observed over Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.

Due to Western Disturbance, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand will see light to moderate rain and snowfall from January 20-22. Apart from this, there may be heavy rain and snowfall from January 23-26. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is going to occur over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh from January 23 to 26 and Delhi from January 23 to 25.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature will increase by two degrees Celsius in the northwestern states by January 20. Apart from this, after January 20, an increase in temperature of two to four degrees Celsius will be recorded over East India. The Meteorological Department has told that dense fog is going to be seen in Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura during morning and night between 19-21 January.
