Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar: Controversy has arisen over the comment made by Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar regarding the Hindu religious text Ramcharitmanas. Reacting to the statement, Ayodhya saint Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya demanded the minister’s dismissal from his post. Also demanded an apology. During this, the saint has also given a controversial statement. He has made a controversial announcement of giving a reward of 10 crores to those who cut Chandrashekhar’s tongue for not apologizing. Let us tell you that the minister had described the Ramcharitmanas book as a book of hatred.
The saint said, “The way the education minister of Bihar has described the Ramcharitmanas book as a book of hatred, the whole country is hurt.” This is an insult to all Sanatanis. I demand legal action on this statement. He should be dismissed from the post. The minister should apologize within a week. If this does not happen, then I announce a reward of Rs 10 crore to the person who cuts off the tongue of Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar.”
He further said, “Such remarks will not be tolerated at all. Ramcharitmanas is not a dividing book, it is a connecting book. This is the book that establishes humanity. It is the form of Indian culture, it is the pride of our country. Such comments on Ramcharitmanas will not be tolerated.
Let us tell you that the controversy arose after Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar made this claim on Wednesday. He said Ramcharitmanas, an epic Hindu religious book based on Ramayana, spreads hatred in the society.
Addressing the students at the 15th convocation of Nalanda Open University, he described Ramcharitmanas and Manusmriti as books that divide the society. He said, “Why was Manusmriti burnt, because a large section of people were abused in it. Why was Ramcharitmanas opposed and which part was opposed? It did not allow lower caste people to get education.” It is said in the Ramcharitmanas that just as a snake becomes poisonous after drinking milk, in the same way people of lower castes become poisonous after getting education.
He has said that Manusmriti and Ramcharitmanas are such books which spread hatred in the society because they prevent Dalits-backwards and women from getting education in the society. Chandrashekhar said, “Manusmriti, Ramcharitmanas, Guru Golwalkar’s Bunch of Thoughts… these books are books that spread hatred. The country will not become great by hatred, the country will become great by love.”
