Vistara flight from Delhi to Bhubaneshwar made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport after a major technical snag surfaced. According to information shared by DGCA, a full emergency was declared for Vistara Air Line flight UK 781 from Delhi to Bhubaneshwar due to hydraulic failure. It is a matter of relief that the plane was safely landed at Delhi airport. All the passengers are said to be safe.
Sources said that soon after the flight from Delhi to Bhubaneswar, the information about the failure of the hydraulic system of the aircraft was received by the air traffic control of the airport. Delhi airport has been declared a complete emergency. The aircraft returned due to hydraulic system failure.
DGCA sources said that the incident took place at around 7.53 in the evening. It is said that the failure of the hydraulic system of Vistara flight UK 781 created panic among the officials. However, the aircraft was safely landed at 8.19 am.
It is said that only after take-off, the pilot of the aircraft came to know about the failure of the hydraulic system of the aircraft. The pilot informed the ATC about this, after which preparations were made for the safe landing of the aircraft in a hurry. Emergency was declared at the airport and fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the spot. An alert was declared at the airport. In the last few months, several instances of technical defects of the planes have come to the fore. DGCA is taking special vigilance regarding such incidents.
