Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and LG VK Saxena witnessed a letter war on Friday amid a long-standing tussle. While the LG raised questions on the education system by writing a letter to CM Arvind Kejriwal on one hand, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party did not delay in replying. Kejriwal admitted that there is still room for improvement in Delhi, but he also said that if the Raj Bhavan had not put up obstacles, better work would have been done. Kejriwal once again advised the LG to pay attention to the law and order situation in Delhi.
The Delhi CM told the LG to do the work of his jurisdiction and let the AAP government do its work. He said that even if the LG does not like the functioning of the Delhi government, he has no right to interfere in it. Kejriwal also gave the example of Chand and Suraj to explain his point and said that the system runs smoothly only when both do not interfere in each other’s work.
Kejriwal wrote at the end of the letter, ‘Someday if the sun starts to feel that the moon is not working properly. If I do the work of the moon today, then the whole world will be disturbed. Sun does its work and moon does its work, only then it looks good, only then the whole system runs smoothly. Let the CM do his work, you fix the law and order of Delhi so that cases like Kanjhawala do not happen again, only then Delhi’s system will be fine.
Earlier, LG VK Saxena replied to Kejriwal on his statement in the Assembly that who is the lieutenant governor. In the letter, LG raised questions about the education system of Delhi and said that attendance in schools is decreasing. LG also said that AAP government did not build a single school in 8 years. In the reply letter, the CM of Delhi wrote, ‘You have criticized Delhi’s education system a lot in your letter. The people of Delhi have given us a historic majority for the third time. We are doing a good job in the eyes of the public. Still your criticism is on the head. No system is perfect. Tremendous improvements have taken place in the education system of Delhi as compared to earlier. But there is still a lot to be done. There is still a long way to go. If the Central Government and all the LG Sahibs had not created obstacles in the work, they would have achieved much more by now.
Kejriwal further wrote that the constitution has given you three responsibilities. Law and Order of Delhi, Delhi Police and DDA. Today Delhi’s law and order is the worst in the whole country. When the world calls Delhi the rape capital, every Delhiite hangs his head in shame. Kejriwal said that till date the people of Delhi have not seen LG working on law and order. People have only seen interference in the functioning of the government, due to which there is a lot of anger in the minds of the people.
