The doorbell of the house rang, the woman reached near the door but was scared to see the outside view. A man was allegedly masturbating in front of her room. The police arrested the accused for the second time while masturbating. According to the Mumbai Police, the incident happened a few days ago and the accused is a 42-year-old salesman. The accused had executed this incident for the first time on January 4 at half past one in the afternoon. Police say that the wife of the accused had left him alone three years ago and he was living alone since then.
The incident is being reported from Chapel Road in Bandra, Mumbai. Police said they came to know about the matter after the woman called them up in panic and told them that a man was masturbating outside her door. The accused has been identified as Ali Ahmed Syed, a college dropout. Police said his wife had left him three years ago and he lives alone.
By the time the police team reached the spot, the accused had fled from the spot. The police recorded the statement of the woman and registered a case against the unknown. The Bandra police station officer said, “The complainant told us that his doorbell rang and he peeped to see who it was. When he saw the accused masturbating outside his room. We checked the CCTV footage of the building. The action of the accused has been captured in the camera. However, the face of the accused was not clearly visible.”
The investigative team then checked four to five other privately installed cameras outside the building and found that all of them were malfunctioning. Based on the description given by the complainant, the police prepared a sketch of the accused and handed it over to a team of officers and constables.
According to the police officer, “We suspected that the accused would come again and that is what happened. Realizing that no complaint had been lodged, the accused again returned to the woman’s doorstep on Wednesday evening and carried out the same act. We have arrested the accused.” ”
Syed has been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for outraging the modesty of a woman. Senior police inspector Rajesh Devre of Bandra police station confirmed the arrest and said that no criminal record of Syed has been registered in the interrogation so far.
